Leah Remini will join the cast of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" for its upcoming 16th season, the actress confirmed on Instagram. Remini, known for her role in "The King of Queens," shared a report from Variety announcing her casting.
This move follows Remini's recent signing with talent agency WME, which aims to expand her brand across television, film, and podcasting. Remini is no stranger to reality television, having previously starred in and produced "Leah Remini: It's All Relative" from 2014 to 2015, a TLC series that documented her family life. She also created and starred in "Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath," a docuseries where she interviewed former Scientologists.
TV personality Justin Sylvester had previously teased the addition of a significant name to the "RHOBH" cast during an interview with Page Six. "The name would blow everybody’s heads," Sylvester stated, without revealing further details at the time. Remini's casting comes shortly after "Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles" star Tracy Tutor also announced her upcoming role on the Bravo series via Instagram.
Remini's most recognized role was portraying Carrie Hefferman in the sitcom "The King of Queens," which aired for nine seasons from 1998 to 2007. She will be a new addition to the "RHOBH" ensemble, which includes existing cast members Kyle Richards and Erika Jayne.
