Lea Thompson, known for her role as Lorraine Baines-McFly in the "Back to the Future" trilogy, recently made a rare public appearance with her daughter, Zoey Deutch, at the Gail Daughtry and The Celebrity Sex Pass premiere in Los Angeles. Thompson, 65, was accompanied by Deutch, 31, and her husband, director Howard Deutch, 75. The family has a history of collaboration, having worked together on the 2017 film "The Year of Spectacular Men," which marked Thompson's directorial debut, with Madelyn Deutch writing and starring, and Zoey also taking a leading role.

In addition to her recent public appearances, Thompson reunited with "Back to the Future" co-star Michael J. Fox, along with Christopher Lloyd and Thomas F. Wilson, at Rhode Island Comic Con in 2024. The cast participated in a Q&A session, reflecting on the beloved 1985 film and its sequels. Fox, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in the early 1990s, shared his reflections on the project, calling it "one of the few perfect films." Thompson expressed her admiration for the script, stating she was "blown away" and felt "something special" from the moment she read it.

Thompson also commented on the enduring message of the film, suggesting that the idea that small actions can lead to significant changes resonates deeply with audiences. In 2023, Fox recalled how his relationship with Christopher Lloyd deepened during the filming of the "Back to the Future" sequel in 1990, leading him to appreciate Lloyd's passion for acting.
