Layla Taylor, a star of the reality television series "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives," has confirmed her relationship with Kelsie Chesser. The confirmation came after Chesser shared a TikTok video on Tuesday, which she captioned, "When I slid into my girlfriend’s DMs just hoping she was into girls."
Chesser, who was shown singing along to Beyoncé's "Partition" in the video, further captioned the post, "Thankful she was 🙂↕️ #wlw #girlfriend." Taylor responded to the post in the comment section, simply writing, "Folded."
Earlier in July, Taylor had posted a video on TikTok teasing the identity of her new girlfriend. The video, which featured Taylor showing off matching arm tattoos with her partner, was captioned, "‘You’re glowing recently,’ thanks, I’m dating a woman now. Chivalry isn’t dead it’s [with] the lesbians."
Taylor officially came out as bisexual on the June 29 episode of Jay Shetty’s “On Purpose” podcast. During the podcast appearance, she stated, "I’m gay, and I’m bi and date women and men." She also mentioned at the time that she was "talking to" a woman who had expressed interest by liking an Instagram photo of hers, though she did not identify the woman at that time.
On the podcast, Taylor described her girlfriend as "emotionally aware" and "very patient." She added, "She’s just been very understanding and letting me take this at my own pace because it is just still foreign to me and it is so new. [It’s the] level of understanding and just being there for me."
Taylor was previously married to Clayton Wessel, with whom she shares two sons, Oliver, 5, and Maxwell, 3. The couple married in 2020 and separated three years later. Since their separation, Taylor had dated Cameron Jolley and Mason McWhorter, confirming her split from McWhorter in February.
