The image shows Sanchez posing with her 86-year-old father, a longtime pilot and businessman, in front of an airplane. In the picture, she is seen without makeup, with her hair pulled back in a loose ponytail and wearing a zip-up hoodie and leggings, a departure from her usual attire.
Sanchez captioned the post, "Happy Father’s Day to the man who taught me that the sky isn’t the limit, it’s the beginning." She added that her father instilled in her a love of flying and that she enjoys receiving his cockpit selfies. Ray Sánchez, 86, is noted as still being active in flying.
The post also included a carousel of images, featuring a childhood photo of Sanchez with her father and several selfies taken by Ray Sánchez while piloting. This personal tribute comes shortly after Sanchez shared more glamorous photos from a recent trip to Paris with her husband, Jeff Bezos. In those posts, she was seen in designer outfits, including a low-cut silk halter-neck top.
Sanchez and Bezos, who are approaching their one-year anniversary on June 27, had been in Paris, where Bezos attended the VivaTech technology conference. Sanchez had shared clips of Bezos speaking at the event, including his remarks on innovation and the process of bringing ideas to fruition.
Sanchez has three children from previous relationships: Nikko Gonzalez with Tony Gonzalez, and Evan and Ella Whitesell with Patrick Whitesell. Bezos has four children with his ex-wife Mackenzie Scott. Sanchez has previously stated that her shared passion for flying was a significant factor in her relationship with Bezos.
