Reality television personality Lauren Goodger has revealed a severe falling out with her "The Only Way Is Essex" (TOWIE) co-star Junaid Ahmed, stating their friendship is "done" after a dispute while filming the ITV series in Albania.
Goodger, 39, who left her daughter to film abroad, expressed her disappointment with Ahmed's behavior during the trip. She stated that she felt Ahmed, who recently became engaged to Joe Blackman during filming, acted as a "diva" and did not support her during a "terrible" argument.
"I've been Joe and Junaid's number one supporter from day one and had their backs – literally against all the rest of the cast, who don't particularly like them, I've always stuck up for them," Goodger told The Sun. "I just felt like he wasn't really there for me, as a friend, nowhere to be seen. He was on one, being a diva."
Ahmed and Blackman became engaged on TOWIE after dating for two years, a development that reportedly caused division among their friends. While many cast members sided with Joe Blackman's ex, Harry Derbridge, Goodger maintained her support for Ahmed until the argument.
Goodger described the incident as "terrible" and stated she was "really upset." She added, "I didn't know where it was going to go – I left it on… the relationship is done. It was terrible. Really terrible."
Despite the fallout, Goodger indicated she still considers herself friends with Ahmed and is looking forward to seeing how the events unfold on screen. The TOWIE series airs Sundays and Mondays on ITV2 and ITVX.
In separate personal revelations, Goodger also spoke about her struggles with body image and the trauma of losing her daughter Lorena. She underwent a Brazilian bum lift in 2017 and breast enlargement in 2013. Goodger previously shared on the "We Need To Talk" podcast that the loss of her daughter Lorena, who died shortly after birth in July 2022, significantly impacted her emotional state and weight.
Goodger also disclosed that she and her ex-partner Charlie Drury experienced two miscarriages after Lorena's death. She described their relationship as a "trauma bond" and detailed experiencing panic attacks and suicidal thoughts following Lorena's death, emphasizing her daughter Larose as her reason for living. Goodger and Drury eventually separated for good in 2024 and now co-parent their child.
