Lauren Bennett, a singer known for her work on LMFAO's 2011 hit "Party Rock Anthem," has died at the age of 37. The news was shared on Monday by her former musical group, G.R.L., via its Instagram account.

"It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Lauren," the statement from G.R.L. read. "Our hearts are broken, and we cannot begin to express how much she meant to us."

The cause of Bennett's death was not immediately disclosed. Representatives for Bennett did not respond to requests for comment.

"Party Rock Anthem" achieved significant success, spending six weeks atop Billboard's Hot 100 chart in 2011 and has been recognized as the fifth most successful song of all time by the publication. Bennett also appeared in the song's music video, which has garnered over 2.5 billion views on YouTube.

In 2014, Bennett joined the pop group G.R.L., conceived as a revival of The Pussycat Dolls. The group's other members included Paula Van Oppen, Natasha Slayton, Simone Battle, and Emmalyn Estrada. G.R.L.'s notable songs include their 2014 single "Ugly Heart" and a feature on Pitbull's "Wild Wild Love" in the same year.

The group disbanded in 2015 following the death of member Simone Battle. Bennett also contributed vocals to soundtracks for the films "Date Night" and "21 Jump Street."

"We will forever cherish the love, laughter, and countless memories she gave us," G.R.L.'s statement concluded. "Her beautiful spirit touched so many lives, and she will be deeply missed and forever loved."
