The final release of tickets for LaplandUK, a popular immersive Christmas event, is now open, but prospective attendees should anticipate significant costs. Weekend tickets in December are priced from £150 per child, potentially reaching £600 for a family of four. The event, hosted in Manchester and Ascot, is scheduled to run from November 7 to December 24.
Last year, a record 750,000 people joined the virtual queue for tickets, which sold out within hours. This year's event promises a reimagined and extended Christmas story, featuring Father Christmas in an arctic setting brought to life by a cast of West End performers and a Hollywood-grade production. Guests will journey through woodland portals into a snow-covered landscape populated by elves, an ice rink, and attractions such as the Lapland Bakery and Toy Factory. Children can participate in making reindeer food to take home, an activity designed to extend the festive experience to Christmas Eve.
Attendees will have increased time to explore the attractions, including ice skating and letter writing, with greater freedom within the LaplandUK world. The event, which has welcomed over 1 million families since its inception in 2007, was voted the UK’s best tourist attraction in 2022. It has also attracted notable guests, including members of the royal family and celebrities.
