Production on the third season of the Paramount+ series "Landman" has been delayed, with series star Billy Bob Thornton confirming that filming is now slated to begin in late August. This pushes the anticipated release of "Landman" Season 3 to early 2027.

Paramount+ renewed the show for a third season in December 2025, following strong viewership for its second season. The Season 2 premiere reportedly garnered over 9.2 million streaming views in its initial two days on the platform. The first two seasons of "Landman" debuted in November of 2024 and 2025, respectively.

There is no official release date for "Landman" Season 3. The series has been on hiatus since its second season finale aired on January 18, 2026.

Creator Taylor Sheridan has spoken about his inspiration for casting Thornton in the role of oilman Tommy Norris. Sheridan recalled pitching the idea to Thornton by saying, "I want to make a drama with Bad Santa running an oil company." Thornton reportedly responded enthusiastically, agreeing to the project.

The first two seasons of "Landman" are available for streaming on Paramount+. The service offers two subscription tiers: an ad-supported Essential plan for $8.99 per month and an ad-free Premium plan for $13.99 per month. Paramount+ can also be accessed as an add-on through Hulu and Amazon Prime Video.
