Lance Guest, known for his roles in the science fiction film "The Last Starfighter" and the "Jaws" franchise, has recently made public appearances, drawing attention 39 years after the release of the latter film.

Guest, now 66, portrayed Alex Rogan, an American teenager recruited into an interstellar war in "The Last Starfighter" (1984). The film, which also featured Catherine Mary Stewart and Dan O'Herlihy, performed moderately at the box office but has since garnered a cult following.

He later starred as Michael Brody in "Jaws: The Revenge" (1987), the fourth installment in the "Jaws" series. Despite a cast that included Michael Caine and Lorraine Gary, the film was a critical and commercial failure, contributing to the end of the film series. The film also featured Mario Van Peebles and Judith Barsi.

Guest's career also includes a role as Jimmy Lloyd in "Halloween II" (1981), where he played a hospital orderly who treats Jamie Lee Curtis's character. He has also appeared in numerous television shows, including "Dallas," "St. Elsewhere," "The X-Files," and "House."

Beyond his film and television work, Guest has had a notable stage career, including a Broadway performance as Johnny Cash in the musical "Million Dollar Quartet." The show, which premiered on Broadway in 2010 and later moved off-Broadway, centered on a famous 1956 recording session involving Cash, Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, and Jerry Lee Lewis.

Guest, who grew up in Saratoga, California, developed an interest in acting during high school and studied the craft at UCLA. He has cited Rob Reiner's portrayal of Meathead in "All in the Family" as an early inspiration for pursuing acting professionally.

In recent months, Guest has been attending fan conventions, often appearing with "The Last Starfighter" co-star Catherine Mary Stewart to discuss the film's enduring legacy and cult status. He has also become a regular on the convention circuit, participating in events related to films like "Halloween II."
