Friends of Lady Gaga and her fiancé, Michael Polansky, reportedly believe the couple may have eloped, according to a report from the Daily Mail. This speculation follows Gaga's comment in April that they would be getting married "soon."
An insider told the outlet that no one has seen or heard from Gaga in over a month. "Everyone in her circle thinks she eloped with Michael and is on her honeymoon now, trying to make a baby," the source claimed.
The singer, born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, has been less visible publicly in recent months. She was last seen in early August taking a selfie with a fan in Northern California, and prior to that, attended an event in Los Angeles in May. Despite her absence from the spotlight, Gaga has continued to promote her Haus Labs makeup products on social media and shared a Polaroid photo of herself on August 25.
Gaga, 40, has reportedly always desired a large family and expressed a wish to have many children so they could support each other, an aspiration that aligns with her current alleged plans.
The "Bad Romance" singer is known for being private about her personal life. She reportedly waited several months before announcing her engagement to Polansky, whom she began dating in 2019. The couple confirmed their engagement in 2024.
During an appearance on Bruno Mars' "Romantic Radio" iHeartRadio livestream in March, Gaga shared an update on her wedding plans, stating, "We’re getting married soon." She had previously mentioned in November to Rolling Stone that the idea of eloping during brief breaks was tempting.
"We don’t want a really big wedding, but we want to enjoy it," Polansky said in the same interview. "In a lot of ways, we already feel married, so it’s not like it’s gonna change much."
In 2024, Gaga also humorously suggested on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" that they had considered "going to the courthouse" and "ordering Chinese food." She also expressed her strong desire to become a mother, stating, "Being a mom is the thing I want the most. And he’s gonna be a beautiful father. We’re really excited about that."
