Kylie Minogue is celebrating the 25th anniversary of her seminal album "Fever" with a striking new photoshoot that pays homage to her 1980s style. For the cover of Perfect magazine, the 58-year-old artist sported a head of corkscrew curls, reminiscent of her signature perm from decades past. The album "Fever" is credited with her significant breakthrough in the U.S. market, as she lacked an American record label prior to its release.

"Fever" featured enduring hits such as "Can't Get You Out of My Head" and "Love At First Sight." Minogue described the period following the album's success as a whirlwind, recalling, "I didn't have an American record label before it (Fever) came out – next thing I did, and next thing they flung me on a G5 to Cancun to do something or other." She added, "Life got very busy. Listen, if I'd known what was coming, it wouldn't have felt crazy at all. But this was crazy in a great way."

The photoshoot also referenced other iconic looks from Minogue's career, including the pixie cut from her 1997 album "Impossible Princess." Various fashion styles were showcased, from denim ensembles and a tweed dress with button detailing to a PVC midi skirt paired with a spaghetti strap top and platform heels. Minogue emphasized the importance of the female gaze in her music videos, particularly for "Can't Get You Out of My Head." She credited the director, Dawn Shadforth, with playing an instrumental role in shaping the video's distinct treatment.

This celebration comes shortly after Minogue shared a stage with Madonna at WorldPride in Amsterdam for an impromptu performance. The two pop icons united to perform "Love Sensation," a track from Madonna's new album "Confessions II." Madonna's album recently debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, driven by strong physical album sales.
