Kylie Jenner has been named the new face of Stella McCartney, appearing in a short film directed by Gia Coppola. The campaign, titled "Wild Horses," features Jenner alongside a trained horse on a beach at sunset. This collaboration marks another high-profile fashion engagement for Jenner, occurring in the same week she walked in her first Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.
The "Wild Horses" campaign aims to highlight Stella McCartney's "longstanding advocacy for animal welfare and protection," according to a press release. The brand emphasizes the horse as a symbol integral to its identity, linking it to Stella McCartney's childhood and a belief that fashion should acknowledge humanity's connection to nature. The campaign narrative specifically notes Jenner as an "icon of contemporary femininity and unapologetic glamour," who is presented "out of the expected and immersed in the raw beauty of our natural world."
Jenner is shown modeling several pieces from McCartney's collection, including a black lace-paneled camisole, a chainmail halter top, and a purple peplum mini dress. The brand stated that the casting of Jenner "celebrat[es] the unique space our brand holds."
This appearance follows Jenner's highly publicized debut at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, where she wore the event's $50 million Fantasy Bra. Her modeling career has seen a recent expansion, including walking for Coperni and appearing in campaigns for Skims and Alo.
The campaign also draws a parallel to a previous Stella McCartney collaboration featuring Jenner's older sister, Kendall Jenner, who posed with horses for the brand's winter 2023 campaign. That shoot took place in the Camargue Salt Flats in France and featured white Camargue horses.
