Kylie Jenner is being sued by a former personal chef who alleges that a demanding work schedule and difficult tasks contributed to a miscarriage. The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles Superior County, claims the chef worked 11- to 12-hour shifts, five days a week, and was assigned physically demanding jobs despite informing supervisors of a high-risk pregnancy.
The chef began working for Jenner in November 2024 and alerted supervisors to her pregnancy the following month, stating she needed reasonable accommodations. According to court documents, on New Year's Eve 2024, the chef was instructed to transport heavy food items uphill without assistance, which allegedly caused her to become dizzy and gasp for air.
Further allegations include being required to work Jenner's child's birthday event in Palm Springs around February 1, 2025, without adequate support. The suit states that the chef experienced exhaustion and emotional distress during the event, and by the next morning, suffered severe blood loss, leading to the loss of her unborn child. The chef claims she was informed at a hospital that there was no detectable heartbeat.
Days after the miscarriage, the chef alleges she was falsely accused of leaving the kitchen in disarray. She reported experiencing more intense hemorrhaging on February 8, 2025, and developed severe depression and emotional distress. The lawsuit states a supervisor told her to "Stop it, just stop it. You are upsetting Kylie. You are making her depressed."
The chef is seeking unspecified damages and alleges claims including accommodation failures, pregnancy discrimination, harassment, misclassification as an independent contractor, delayed or incorrect payment, and wrongful termination.
This is the third lawsuit filed against Jenner by a former employee in 2026. In April, a former housekeeper sued Jenner for wrongful termination, claiming discrimination based on religion and national origin. Another former housekeeper filed a similar lawsuit later that month, alleging mistreatment from staff and threats of termination when seeking help from Jenner.
