Kylie Jenner and Hailey Bieber teamed up in a brief social media clip on Tuesday to showcase lip liners from their respective beauty brands.
In the 16-second video, the two women recorded themselves seated in a luxury vehicle while applying lip liner and posing for the camera. Jenner, 28, and Bieber, 28, posted the clip to Jenner’s Instagram and TikTok accounts, where Jenner has about 392 million and 58.7 million followers respectively.
Viewers asked about the shades used in the clip, and Jenner replied on TikTok that Bieber’s shade was Bend from Rhode and her own was Coconut from Kylie Cosmetics. The short recording was set to Justin Bieber’s song “Speed Demon,” the opening track on his album SWAG II.
Jenner shared a screen grab from the clip alongside a throwback photo of the pair from 2016, writing “2016 vs 2025” and adding a string of tearful-face emojis. Bieber reposted the photos to her Instagram Stories and wrote, “This makes me emo.”
Both women were filmed in low-cut tank tops and wearing makeup; Jenner’s look included blush and mauve eyeshadow while Bieber’s appeared lighter and more natural. Nail colors also differed, with Jenner showing a dark polish and Bieber a nude shade.
The appearance brought together two prominent figures in the beauty industry. Jenner founded Kylie Cosmetics after rising to fame as a reality television personality and building a cosmetics business that began with a lip kit in 2015. Bieber launched skincare brand Rhode in 2022; in late May the company reached an agreement to be acquired by e.l.f. Beauty in a deal valued at about $1 billion.
Both founders have intertwined public and private lives with their business ventures. Jenner is a mother of two, and Bieber is married with a young son. The social-media clip follows a pattern of celebrity founders using personal platforms to promote products directly to large followings.
The post generated rapid engagement from fans asking for product details, and Jenner’s direct reply on TikTok provided immediate product information to viewers. The short video adds to a recent trend of brief, direct-to-consumer promotional content from high-profile beauty entrepreneurs on platforms such as Instagram and TikTok.
