Kylie Jenner has addressed the controversy surrounding her "self-made billionaire" status, stating that the money she has accumulated was not inherited.

In a recent interview with Who What Wear, released on Thursday, Jenner, 29, responded to years of criticism that she was not truly "self-made" due to her family's wealth and connections.

"None of the money I've ever made is inherited, so it's technically true, but people just feel like the privilege I've had was a major stepping stone," Jenner said. Forbes initially dubbed the reality star the "youngest-ever self-made billionaire" in 2019 after she sold 51 percent of her Kylie Cosmetics brand to Coty Inc. for $600 million. At the time, she was 21, unseating Mark Zuckerberg, who achieved billionaire status at 23. Forbes has since reported Jenner's net worth to be approximately $670 million.

Jenner also spoke candidly about her experiences as a young mother. She shares two children, daughter Stormi and son Aire, with rapper Travis Scott. She explained her decision to not have more children in her twenties.

"I made a promise to myself at 25 that I was not going to have any more children—right now—and really just enjoy the last half of my 20s because the first half was like, 'You're pregnant,' and then it's the year of recovery, and, you know, my mental state, my postpartum depression, and all those things," Jenner said. "It felt like I lost some of those young years of my life."

As she approaches her 30th birthday next year, Jenner reflected on her life and priorities, including a change in perspective regarding the size of her life.

"I think having an enormous life. I changed my mind about that," she stated. "When I was younger, I got really excited, and I got the craziest house I could in Beverly Hills, and I just kind of went for it. I've realized that my life got too big, and I said, 'Yeah, never mind.' I think I lost control of my life a little bit for a while there."
