Sisters Kylie and Dannii Minogue recently brought a piece of their past to the present during a trip to Paris, recreating a vintage family photograph from 1988. The duo posed in front of the Eiffel Tower, a playful nod to a cherished memory.
Kylie, 58, shared a video on her Instagram page documenting the attempt to replicate the original image. "Okay, we're here in Paris by the iconic Eiffel Tower and we're gonna attempt to recreate an iconic photograph from 1988. Can you do it?" Kylie addressed the camera. Dannii, 54, expressed some doubt, questioning if she could still strike the same pose. "My goodness, I don't even know if I can pull this face anymore but let's try," she said, before Kylie offered reassurance.
The original 1988 photograph captured the sisters in distinct styles of the era. Kylie sported a double denim ensemble and her signature blonde perm, reminiscent of her early career breakthrough on the television series Neighbours in 1986. Dannii's look from that time featured an all-white outfit with her hair styled high in a scrunchie.
In contrast, their modern-day appearances showcased a more contemporary chic. Kylie opted for a stylish combination of jeans and a cream jacket, while Dannii wore an elegant black ensemble.
Dannii captioned the social media post: "Sisters in Paris and just HAD to recreate this vintage family pic. One frame then. One frame now!!! Nailed it!! LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!" The sisters' successful recreation highlighted the enduring nature of their bond and their ability to capture the moment.
This Parisian excursion follows Kylie's appearance on the cover of Australian Vogue, where she shared anecdotes from her career, including a memorable night in Los Angeles with Margot Robbie. Kylie recounted meeting Robbie at the Chateau Marmont before the fellow Australian actress achieved massive international fame, describing it as a casual meetup for two Australians in LA. "We had a… well… I don't know if we got fully p*ssed, but we definitely had enough to take the edge off," Kylie said of the encounter, which she noted occurred around 2016, prior to Robbie's role in the film Barbie.
