Kristin Cavallari is returning to her brand's roots with a new campaign for Uncommon James' Detour collection, featuring a desert-set photoshoot that harkens back to the company's "old-school" beginnings.
Cavallari, 39, showcased the new jewelry in a series of images posted to Instagram. In the campaign, photographed by Dennis Leupold, she donned a light-wash denim corset-style top paired with layered gold necklaces, hoop earrings, and stacked bracelets from the collection. The look was completed with white lace underwear and slouchy cream-colored boots.
Cavallari described the new collection and campaign as "effortless, edgy and the ultimate cool-girl jewelry." The photoshoot's aesthetic drew comparisons from fans to Britney Spears' early 2000s style, specifically referencing her movie "Crossroads."
The new Detour collection marks another phase for Uncommon James, which Cavallari launched in 2017. The entrepreneur shared in a previous interview that while her three children are her primary focus, Uncommon James remains central to her professional endeavors. Her work also includes a sparkling protein drink, a podcast, and other entertainment projects.
Cavallari, who first rose to fame on MTV's "Laguna Beach," stated that her entrepreneurial aspirations were not present at 17. Opportunities that arose from her television career eventually led her to establish Uncommon James, driven by a desire to prove her capabilities in the branding world.
Reflecting on success, Cavallari noted that her definition has evolved. While she continues to work diligently, her ideal future success involves "slower mornings, a peaceful mind, and having time in my day to do what I want."
