Kristen Stewart has described working on a film with her wife, Dylan Meyer, as her "favorite form of intimacy." Stewart shared these thoughts during an appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon."
"Making something with somebody is my favorite form of intimacy," Stewart said. "I think when movies are really good … it’s like an act of love. So it makes complete and total sense for me to work with my closest friends and family."
Stewart stars in the new comedy "The Wrong Girls," which marks Meyer's directorial debut as writer and director. Stewart stated she had no reservations about working with her wife on the project. When asked if anyone tried to dissuade her, Stewart replied, "I’m a sort of exceptionally demanding and direct person, so no."
Stewart also praised Meyer's vision for the film, particularly the soundtrack, calling her a "cool girl."
The couple began dating in 2019 and became engaged in November 2021. They married in April 2025 in Los Angeles. Meyer later shared photos of the couple embracing at the altar, captioned "I do. I really really really really really do."
