Kristen Stewart described working with her wife, Dylan Meyer, as her "favorite form of intimacy," highlighting their shared passion for filmmaking. Meyer directed Stewart in the upcoming stoner comedy "The Wrong Girls," which is set to be released in U.S. theaters this Friday. Stewart told The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that making movies with someone she is close to feels natural, likening exceptional films to "an act of love."
Stewart, who co-founded their production company Nevermind Pictures with Meyer and Maggie McLean in 2023, spent 13 years developing the script for "The Wrong Girls." The film also features Alia Shawkat, Seth Rogen, Kumail Nanjiani, LaKeith Stanfield, and Tony Hale. Stewart first met Meyer in 2013 on the set of the action stoner comedy "American Ultra."
The couple tied the knot on April 20 at the Mexican restaurant Casita Del Campo in Los Feliz, California, after six years of dating. They share a four-bedroom home in Los Feliz, valued at $2.195 million. Despite their creative synergy, Stewart and Meyer have a minor disagreement regarding the Eagles' 1977 song "Hotel California," which Meyer reportedly considers a "bad omen."
Stewart is also set to star as astronaut Sally Ride in the upcoming Amazon MGM limited series "The Challenger." She recently confirmed the project had received a green light, expressing a mix of excitement and nervousness about portraying the real-life figure. Will Arnett is slated to play NASA staffer George Abbey in the series.
Other upcoming projects for Stewart include the vampire thriller "Flesh of the Gods" by Panos Cosmatos and Quentin Dupieux's dark comedy "Full Phil."
