TV presenter Kirstie Allsopp was airlifted to a hospital for surgery after slipping and injuring her leg while walking home from a beach in Devon. The host of the show "Location, Location, Location" shared details of the incident on Instagram, including a photo of herself in an ambulance.
Allsopp, 55, explained that she had slipped on a muddy path during a family tradition of having a picnic on the beach followed by a walk home for cake. She noted that it took "a whole host of people" to get her to the hospital, including RNLI Bude Lifeboat paramedics and Cornwall Air Ambulance. She also expressed gratitude for the care she received at Barnstaple hospital, describing the staff as "amazing, kind and caring."
