King Charles and Queen Camilla were present on the fifth and final day of the Royal Ascot horse racing event, marking their attendance with Peter Phillips and his new bride, Harriet Sperling. The royal couple traveled from Windsor Castle to the Berkshire racecourse in a carriage procession, with the King wearing a grey suit, blue waistcoat, and top hat, and Queen Camilla opting for an all-blue ensemble.

Harriet Sperling, who married Phillips on June 6 in a private ceremony, joined the procession at the invitation of King Charles. She wore a white maxi dress and a matching hat, holding hands with Phillips, who was dressed in a smart suit. The couple, who married recently, were seen smiling as they arrived amidst warm weather.

Other members of the royal family, including Birgitte, the Duchess of Gloucester, were also in attendance, with the Duchess celebrating her 80th birthday at the event. Several celebrities, including Paralympic swimmer Ellie Simmonds OBE, Lisa Tan, and Charlotte Hawkins, were also observed at the course.

The King's participation at Ascot followed a less successful week for his racehorses. None of his five entries had secured a win, with one horse, Warrant Holder, finishing second in a tense race on Friday. Another of the King's horses, Reaching High, finished last on Tuesday despite being a favorite. The royal family has a significant interest in horse racing, having inherited around 100 thoroughbred horses from Queen Elizabeth II.
