Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner paid tribute to their late matriarch, MJ Campbell, on what would have been her 92nd birthday. Both shared messages and photos on Instagram on Sunday, a week after Campbell's passing.

Kris Jenner, 70, announced the death of her mother on July 17, writing on social media that she was heartbroken. "Happy Heavenly Birthday Mommy. I love you," Jenner posted, accompanied by old photos of Campbell.

Jenner described her mother as the "heart of our family" in her announcement of Campbell's death. "She taught me everything that truly matters… to love your family fiercely, to be kind, to show up for the people you love, and to never take a single moment together for granted," Jenner wrote. She added that her mother taught them "how to love unconditionally and how to find joy in the little moments" and to face challenges with "resilience and faith."

Kim Kardashian, 45, also took to Instagram to honor her grandmother. "Happy Heavenly 92nd Birthday grandma!" Kardashian wrote, sharing a collection of photos. She noted that in the week since Campbell's death, she and her mother had been going through her belongings, which led to new insights. "The amount of things I’ve learned about you this week from going through all of your stuff with mom has been beautiful! I thought I knew it all! Makes me respect you and love you more if that’s even possible," Kardashian shared.

Kardashian reflected on Campbell's influence, stating, "You taught all of us the importance of family, and those values are something we’ll carry with us forever!!!!! You were the woman who showed me what it meant to be a hardworking businesswoman. You gave me my very first job at your store in San Diego and taught me lessons about work ethic, strength, and confidence that I’ve carried with me ever since."

Campbell, who was a frequent presence on the family's reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians, was remembered by Kardashian as her "forever twin" and "best friend."

"You truly were the matriarch of our family, and your love is woven into all of us," Kardashian added. "I know you’re at peace now. Give Papa Harry, Aunt Karen, and my dad a hug for me. You will always be a part of me, I love you soooooo much and I will miss you forever and ever. YOU ARE THE BEST OF US!!!"

Last year, the family celebrated MJ Campbell's 91st birthday with a dinner at The Ivy in Los Angeles. Jenner concluded her tribute to her mother by saying, "Our hearts are broken, but we find comfort knowing that love like yours never truly leaves us."
