Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock led the cast of "Practical Magic 2" in a celebratory afterparty at the Broadwick Soho hotel in London following the film's premiere. The event marked a reunion for the stars, who are promoting the sequel to the 1998 cult classic.
Kidman, 59, arrived in a custom silver Chanel gown adorned with chains and pearls, while Bullock, 62, wore a strapless leopard print dress by Givenchy. The two actresses reprised their roles as onscreen sisters Sally and Gillian Owens, who navigate a family curse and their magical lineage. The sequel picks up 25 years after the original film and is based on Alice Hoffman's 2021 story, "The Book of Magic."
The afterparty, held at the hotel's Flute bar, also welcomed other cast members. Joey King and Maisie Williams, who portray the next generation of Owens sisters and daughters of Bullock's character, were in attendance. King wore a sheer custom Miu Miu gown and sported newly dyed red hair, a look reportedly inspired by Bullock's 1999 red carpet appearance. Williams wore a red corset-style dress.
Original cast members Stockard Channing and Dianne Wiest, who play the eccentric aunts Frances and Bridget Owens, also joined the celebration. Channing, 82, appeared in a dark blue suit, marking her first red carpet appearance in two years, while Wiest, 78, opted for a flowing black dress.
Kidman and Bullock also served as executive producers for "Practical Magic 2," which features Lee Pace and Solly McLeod. A synopsis for the film states that the Owens women must unite to confront the source of their magic and save the next generation of their family. The film is set to be released on September 11.
Previously, the leading actresses surprised fans by appearing at a screening of the original "Practical Magic" at Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles. The 1998 film, despite grossing $68.3 million globally against a $75 million budget, achieved cult classic status.
