Khloé Kardashian is mourning the loss of her grandmother, Mary Jo “MJ” Campbell, who died at the age of 91. Kardashian shared a series of throwback photos with her late grandmother on Instagram Sunday, reflecting on the lessons and love Campbell imparted.

“My sweet MJ 🦋,” Kardashian wrote. “Thank you for showing us that life is meant to be celebrated, that laughter is healing, and that love is the greatest legacy we can leave behind. You lived so fully, so gracefully, and so beautifully.”

Kardashian, who shares two children, True, 8, and Tatum, 3, with ex Tristan Thompson, expressed gratitude that her children had the opportunity to know their great-grandmother. “One of my greatest blessings will always be that my children knew their great-grandmother,” she stated. “That they experienced your hugs, your stories, your joy, and the incredible light you carried so effortlessly.”

Reflecting on Campbell’s impact, the reality star noted, “You taught us that love never leaves. It lives on in the family you built, the traditions we’ll continue, the stories we’ll tell, and every time we choose joy. Your love will forever be woven into who we are.” She also described Campbell as “truly one of one” and thanked her for her intentional time with the family.

Kardashian also referenced her late father, Robert Kardashian, who died in 2003, writing, “And I know you kept your promise 🤍 telling my daddy just how deeply we love him and how much we miss him.” She concluded her tribute by envisioning Campbell reunited with loved ones. “I know you’re happy having your coke, tuna sandwich and graham crackers with papa Harry while Karen dances around you. Until we meet again, my sweet MJ! I love you 🤍,” the star of “The Kardashians” wrote.

Campbell’s death was announced Thursday by her daughter, Kris Jenner. Jenner posted a tribute on Instagram, sharing how Campbell “taught me everything that truly matters… to love your family fiercely, to be kind, to show up for the people you love, and to never take a single moment together for granted. She taught us that family is everything.” Jenner added that her mother “will live on” in their family traditions and that her own life was shaped by Campbell’s example.

Kim Kardashian addressed social media criticism regarding a vacation post shared shortly after the news of her grandmother’s passing. In a comment on her own post, she explained that it had been scheduled days in advance. “I’ve been by my mom and grandma’s side this past week, and my heart is completely with my family right now,” Kardashian wrote. “We love and miss her so deeply, and in the days ahead, we’ll be focusing on celebrating her beautiful life 🕊️🤍.”
