Reality television star Khloe Kardashian and her business partner Emma Grede are reportedly no longer on speaking terms, according to a new report. The alleged rift comes after Kardashian unfollowed Grede on Instagram earlier this year.
Kardashian, 42, and Grede, 43, were previously close. Grede is the CEO of Kardashian's clothing brand, Good American, and is also a founding partner of Kim Kardashian's shapewear brand, SKIMS.
A source told The Sun that Kardashian has become less involved with Good American, canceling events and not promoting the brand. "Khloe has so much going on and it just wasn't a priority in her life," the source reportedly stated. "In theory, Khloe is still the founder of Good American but it's Emma who does the hard work behind the scenes."
The source added that both women are "smart" and realized it was time to part ways professionally, managing the transition carefully to avoid damaging the brand. Representatives for both Kardashian and Grede have been contacted for comment.
Kardashian recently commented on her reduced involvement with Good American on her podcast, stating, "Good American is doing so well, and Good American is strong enough and stable enough to sustain on its own."
Grede, a British-born entrepreneur, has spent two decades working behind the scenes with the Kardashian-Jenner family's fashion ventures. She is now based in Los Angeles and is reportedly involved with companies valued at approximately £300 million.
Earlier this year, a clip of Grede discussing her views on work-life balance during an interview on the "Diary of a CEO" podcast went viral. When asked about "red flags" during interviews, Grede stated, "Work-life balance is your problem. That's yours to figure out." She explained that at her companies, employees are not tied to their desks and are allowed to attend personal appointments. Grede suggested that seeking a "work-life balance" in an interview indicated an issue with the candidate. Her remarks drew comparisons to comments made by Kim Kardashian in 2022 about people not wanting to work.
