Kendall Jenner said she intends to step away from high-profile modeling and focus on a career in home design, telling Vogue she plans to "stop everything and just design homes." The 29-year-old model, who has worked for luxury brands and has been a fixture on runways worldwide, described a desire for a quieter, more ordinary daily life.

Speaking to Vogue in an interview published Monday alongside fellow model Gigi Hadid, Jenner said she values routines that allow her to feel "normal" and free from the demands of public life. "I love my space in LA, but I also really love the simple life. I like getting up every morning and throwing on a bathing suit or sweatpants and no makeup and just being free with my day," she said. "I swear to God, I'm going to stop everything and just design homes. I'm not kidding."

Jenner, who made her television debut at about 11 years old on the family reality series Keeping Up With the Kardashians, said the long experience in the public eye shaped her preferences. She told Vogue the family's ongoing reality projects are not necessarily her "biggest cup of tea," and described being a homebody who enjoys activities such as competing at horse shows while maintaining a low profile. "I love to go to the horse show dressed just like everybody else and have my helmet on and my sunglasses and my uniform, and I can compete under a completely different name," she said.

The model recalled elements of her upbringing in media during an appearance on Emma Chamberlain's "Anything Goes" podcast in August 2024, noting that she and her siblings attended regular school "as long as we could" and that the schooling helped preserve a sense of normalcy. "We went to school. We went to school as long as we could. I started home school, 11th and 12th grade," she said. "Overall, I am really grateful because I think it could have been a lot worse."

Jenner has been among the highest-paid models in the industry and has fronted major campaigns and magazine covers. She and Hadid are the covers of Vogue's October 2025 issue. In the Vogue interview, Jenner acknowledged thinking about the future while also resisting overplanning. "I think about the future a lot, but I try not to overplan because you know I'm a planner," she said.

She also credited a stable family environment for helping navigate public life. "I think that Kylie and I, the one thing we had was a lot of stability, a lot of love and a really great support system and really great friends," Jenner said, noting that having older siblings who went before them offered guidance.

Jenner did not provide a specific timeline for leaving modeling or details about how she would enter the home-design field. Her comments mark the clearest public statement to date about a possible shift from an internationally recognized modeling career toward work outside the spotlight.
