The Voice UK is set to return for its 14th series this Saturday, featuring new coach Kelly Rowland. The singer, known for her work with Destiny's Child, steps in for LeAnn Rimes, who departed after one season. First look images released by ITV show Rowland bringing a glamorous presence to the judging panel alongside returning coaches Will.i.am, Danny Jones, Tom Fletcher, and Tom Jones, with Emma Willis continuing as host.

Rowland, 43, expressed her approach as a coach, stating her intention to connect with contestants on a personal level beyond their vocal abilities. "I’m the coach who wants to get to know you, not just your voice," Rowland said. "I’m not necessarily looking for the perfect voice. I’m looking for an artist that makes you feel something. There’s so much negativity in the world so if I makes the contestants feel stronger, more confident and seen, that’s what I will do."

Host Emma Willis welcomed Rowland, describing her as "incredible" and "everything you’d want from a coach." Willis also noted the strong dynamic among the returning coaches.

Rowland brings significant experience to the role, having achieved global fame with Destiny's Child and later embarking on a solo career. She has previously served as a judge on The X Factor and as a coach on The Voice Australia.

The upcoming season has faced multiple postponements, with initial auditions filmed in 2024. The show's return marks its first broadcast in two years. The last series, which concluded in 2024, saw Danny Jones and Tom Fletcher lead their contestant Ava Manning to victory, earning her a record deal, £50,000 prize money, and a trip to Universal Resort in Orlando.
