Kelly Osbourne has disclosed that she wore wigs to conceal significant weight loss she experienced after the death of her father, Ozzy Osbourne. She described her appearance during that period as "scary," stating she looked like "the f–king Crypt Keeper."

Speaking with the Daily Mail, Osbourne, 41, recalled looking in the mirror and realizing how much weight she had lost. "My spine -- you could see every single bone," she said. She noted that she was in "so much pain" following her father's death in July 2025 that she "just saw a broken person."

Osbourne recounted attending the 2026 Grammy Awards in February of that year, where a tribute to her father, including a performance of Black Sabbath's "War Pigs," took place. At the event, she opted to wear a wig to hide her gaunt facial features and to ensure the focus remained on her father's legacy.

"I wore a wig to cover my face, so you couldn’t see how skinny my cheekbones really were," she explained. Her stylists were aware of her distress and reportedly helped her find clothing that would not accentuate her reduced size.

Reflecting on her grief, Osbourne admitted that she was unsure if she should have attended the Grammys, stating, "I wasn’t very well." She described the overwhelming grief as causing nausea, explaining that "the feeling of hunger can’t even pop up" when one is filled with so much pain.

Osbourne's comments come weeks after she shared that she was "getting a lot better" and receiving necessary support. She previously told Hello! magazine that grief often leads to people not knowing how to handle the situation, causing a loss of friends, but that those who remain are "the real ones."

Earlier in 2026, Osbourne also addressed public "abuse" and scrutiny over her appearance, calling the trolls "disgusting."

In addition to mourning her father, Osbourne also separated from her fiancé, Sid Wilson, in March 2026. They share a 3-year-old son, Sidney.
