Kelly Osbourne has spoken candidly about experiencing "cruel" body-shaming in the wake of her father Ozzy Osbourne's death in July 2025, describing the period as "the hardest year of my life." Osbourne, 41, revealed in an interview with HELLO! magazine that she was "so sick" during this time and has been undergoing significant personal work with the support of a dedicated team.
Osbourne stated that she did not "navigate" the speculation and criticism surrounding her weight loss, emphasizing that she "wasn't well." She expressed gratitude for the support system she has built, noting that while grief can alienate some friends, those who remain are "the real ones."
"Everything is different. I'm different. Everything has changed, but it's just taking it one day at a time and putting the pieces back together in a way that you think will work," Osbourne said, reflecting on how her father's passing fundamentally altered her.
She described her recovery and self-discovery process as a "lifetime of work," finding therapy to be a crucial tool. This therapeutic journey has allowed her to explore the origins of certain behaviors stemming from her childhood, leading to a healthier understanding of herself.
Osbourne also shared that she split from Sid Wilson, the father of their three-year-old son Sydney, earlier this year. She indicated that a part of her identity was lost with her father's death, and she will never be the same person she was before.
