Kelly Osbourne is reflecting on the first anniversary of her father Ozzy Osbourne's death, sharing a poignant tribute that highlights her ongoing grief and deep affection for the Black Sabbath frontman.
"One year ago today, the world changed forever," Osbourne wrote on Instagram Tuesday, marking the anniversary of his passing on July 22, 2025. She described feeling his presence in everyday moments, in quiet reflections, and in music.
"The hardest part isn’t that you’re gone. The hardest part is that I can’t touch you. I can’t hold your hand. I can’t wrap my arms around you or feel the safety that only you could give me," Osbourne stated, detailing the immense difficulty of life without him. She referred to him as her "everything. My protector. My greatest teacher. My best friend. The apple of my eye. My reason."
Osbourne, 41, reminisced about their "beautiful memories" and how her father made "every moment worthwhile." She expressed the enduring depth of her love, stating, "I have never loved anyone or anything as deeply, as uniquely as I love you. And now I carry all of that love with nowhere to place it except within me, my son, and mumma. It aches every single day, but it is also the greatest privilege of my life. To have loved someone so completely."
This sentiment echoed her Father's Day tribute, when she wrote, "Dad, I still find myself looking for you in ordinary moments the advice I need, the joke I want to tell, the victory I wish you could see." She added at the time, "The ache of missing you is the price of loving you, and I would pay it forever rather than have never been your child at all!"
Ozzy Osbourne died at age 76 following a battle with Parkinson’s disease, a diagnosis he revealed in 2020. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Osbourne, and their children Kelly, Aimee, and Jack Osbourne. He also had three other children from a previous marriage: Elliot Kingsley, Jessica Osbourne, and Louis Osbourne.
