Kelly Clarkson is set to release a new single titled “I’d Be Lyin'” on July 17, marking her first musical release since May 2025. The announcement was made by the Grammy winner on her Instagram account on July 2.
The single's release date coincides with the launch of Clarkson's Las Vegas residency, which is scheduled to run from July 17 through mid-August. Fans expressed their excitement for the new music in the comments section of her social media post.
This career development comes as Clarkson prepares to conclude her talk show, “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” after seven seasons. She confirmed in February that the show's exit in the fall was a difficult but necessary decision to prioritize her children, daughter River, 12, and son Remington, 10. Their father, Brandon Blackstock, died of cancer in August 2025.
Clarkson previously told her followers that she would continue to make music and perform occasionally, and might appear on “The Voice.” She confirmed in May her return as a coach for Season 30 of the competition series. A source indicated that Clarkson is looking forward to a slower pace and engaging in more creative work, without the demands of a daily television show.
Clarkson's most recent music release was an extended version of her holiday album, “When Christmas Comes Around … Again,” in 2024. Her 10th studio album, “Chemistry,” was released the previous year.
