Kelley Wolf left a rehabilitation facility two days after checking in and is now staying at a hotel, the estranged wife of actor Scott Wolf told Page Six on Tuesday.
Kelley, 48, entered treatment over the weekend after her arrest in late August, People first reported. She was arrested on Aug. 26 and charged with harassment via electronic communication and electronic disclosure of personal identifying information, and spent two days in the Summit County Jail in Park City, Utah, before being released under court-ordered conditions that included participation in inpatient or outpatient medical, behavioral, psychological or psychiatric treatment.
Court documents obtained by People show the protective order granted against Kelley on Aug. 28 barred her from contacting Scott Wolf or their three children — Jackson, 16; Miller, 12; and Lucy, 11 — and required her to stay at least 300 feet away from them. The order prohibited stalking, harassing, threatening, physically hurting or committing any form of violence that could cause bodily injury, according to the documents.
Scott Wolf, 57, filed for a second restraining order after alleging he received multiple text messages from Kelley during their contentious divorce proceedings, and that Kelley had shared his personal phone number with her Instagram followers, prompting an influx of messages from strangers, the documents said.
Kelley appeared before a Utah judge on Sept. 2 and told the court she would check herself into rehab for a month. "I’m looking forward to it," she said at the hearing, according to coverage of the proceedings. She also told the judge her brother would take her to the facility and described it as a place she had previously recommended in her work as a mental health professional.
At that hearing, the judge ordered Kelley not to consume alcohol or any narcotic or controlled substance unless it was prescribed by a licensed medical practitioner, and she was barred from contacting witnesses in the case. The court additionally placed restrictions meant to prevent further contact or harassment of Scott and the children.
Scott and Kelley Wolf were married in 2004. Scott filed for divorce in June, and the couple’s separation has since involved multiple legal filings. Scott initially filed a restraining order in July and later dismissed that request. Media reports and court filings indicate Kelley has been subject to several involuntary behavioral-health holds and that she had not seen her children for months prior to the August arrest.
Page Six reported Kelley confirmed leaving the rehabilitation facility and that she was staying in a hotel following her departure. People had reported that her entry into treatment followed the arrest and the release conditions ordered by a Utah court.
Neither Kelley Wolf nor a representative for Scott Wolf immediately responded to requests for additional comment. The court papers and media accounts outline the safety provisions put in place by the judge and the criminal charges stemming from the late-August incident.
Kelley’s brief stay at the treatment facility and subsequent relocation to a hotel come as the divorce and related legal actions continue to be processed in Utah courts. The protective order and release conditions remain part of the public record as the parties move forward through legal proceedings.
