Kelley Wolf, the estranged wife of actor Scott Wolf, has checked into a rehabilitation facility as she faces three misdemeanor charges tied to alleged online harassment and the disclosure of personal information amid an ongoing divorce, court records and prosecutors say.

A district judge on Sept. 2 granted actor Scott Wolf a protective order that requires Kelley Wolf, 48, to stay at least 300 feet away from him and bars any direct or indirect contact with him or their three children — Jackson, 16; Miller, 12; and Lucy, 11. The order also restricts her access to the family home except for a police-supervised visit to retrieve belongings, and it states that contact is permitted only during court-ordered mediation with a court-qualified mediator about divorce or custody matters.

Prosecutors say Kelley Wolf faces one count of misdemeanor electronic communications harassment related to an Aug. 25 incident and two counts of misdemeanor electronic disclosure of personal identifying information tied to activity on Aug. 26. Court records obtained by news outlets label the charges as domestic violence related. During an arraignment on Sept. 2, Kelley Wolf told the judge she planned to enter an inpatient treatment center and said she was "excited" to begin a program she described as a monthlong stay starting Sept. 12.

The arrest followed an incident in Park City, Utah, in which responding officers say Scott Wolf reported receiving a surge of calls and texts from unknown numbers after an Instagram post allegedly revealed his phone number. An arrest affidavit reviewed by reporters states that an officer who responded to Scott Wolf's call viewed the social post and then went to Kelley Wolf's home; the affidavit says she initially spoke through a window, changed clothes before coming to the door and was then arrested. A Summit County Jail spokesman said she was held for two days and posted $5,000 bail.

A judge's release order signed after the arrest required Kelley Wolf to participate in inpatient or outpatient medical, behavioral, psychological or psychiatric treatment and to remain free from alcohol and nonprescribed drugs. The order also instructed that she be tested for drug use prior to the next court hearing. Prosecutors at one point asked the court to bar her from social media use, alleging she "doxxed" her estranged husband by posting his phone number on Instagram, but the judge declined at arraignment to rule on a social media restriction.

During the hearing, Judge Janet Elledge denied a prosecutor's request that Kelley Wolf be required to prove ongoing compliance with the soon-to-expire release conditions. The criminal case is scheduled for further proceedings on Sept. 30, and a separate hearing to consider extending the protective order and custody arrangements is set for Sept. 10.

Scott Wolf filed for divorce on June 9 after 21 years of marriage. A temporary divorce agreement signed July 19 ordered Scott Wolf to temporarily provide his estranged wife with $10,000 a month for living costs, car payments, minimum credit card payments and some attorney fees. The same summer, court filings and reports show Kelley Wolf was placed on involuntary psychiatric holds on June 13, linked to concerns about her behavior and an attempt to take the children out of the country, and again on July 6 in an incident that reportedly involved a knife.

The couple's child custody situation has drawn public attention. Scott Wolf has been allowed three supervised video or phone calls with the children per week; court documents show he has temporary sole custody pending further hearings. Jackson Wolf, the couple's 16-year-old son, posted on social media explaining his estrangement from his mother and asserting that allegations she has made against his father are false. In his posts, he described his mother as "very mentally ill" and defended his father as "a spectacular father and a great man."

Kelley Wolf has been a public figure since her reality television appearances on The Real World: New Orleans in 2000, The Challenge in 2002 and more recently The Real World Homecoming in 2022. Scott Wolf is best known for roles on Party of Five and the medical drama Doc; he is set to reprise his role in the second season of Doc, which premieres Sept. 23 on Fox.

In a social media message shared before her arrest, Kelley Wolf posted to her roughly 89,000 followers that police were at her house to arrest her and that she was frightened and confused. She has publicly described interactions with law enforcement and family members in posts and livestreams in recent weeks. Prosecutors have requested that she be barred from social media as a condition of bond; that request remains under consideration by the court.

Representatives for both Kelley and Scott Wolf have been contacted by media outlets reporting on the case and had not provided public comment as of the latest filings. The criminal charges remain allegations; Kelley Wolf has not been convicted. Court schedules show the next criminal hearing is Sept. 30 and a custody and protective order hearing is set for Sept. 10, when a judge will consider whether to extend the restrictions imposed in the temporary order.
