Singer Kehlani has postponed two of her "Kehlani World Tour" dates after being hospitalized for throat pain that made swallowing difficult. The shows in Camden, New Jersey, and Columbia, Maryland, originally scheduled for August 26 and 27, have been rescheduled for September 5 and 6, respectively.

Kehlani, 31, announced on Wednesday that a sudden illness left her in significant pain and unable to perform, leading to the cancellation of the performances. "Breaks my heart to have to ever do this," Kehlani stated on Instagram. "I do everything I’m supposed to to ensure my health stays up to par & it still isn’t guaranteed."

The singer indicated that she felt well earlier in the week, but her condition worsened unexpectedly. Kehlani plans to resume the tour in Virginia on August 29 before the rescheduled dates in New Jersey and Maryland.

In a recent interview with Billboard, Kehlani discussed maintaining physical and mental health while managing bipolar disorder. The singer detailed a strict routine that includes medication, gym visits, yoga, walks, time in nature, and prayer. Kehlani also spoke about a recent sinus surgery to address long-standing breathing difficulties, noting that she was still healing but anticipated being able to perform at full capacity on her current tour.

Kehlani's North American tour includes 34 stops before heading overseas, with additional dates expected to be announced. Her self-titled album, released in April, features the lead single "Folded," which topped the Billboard Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay charts for 17 weeks and earned two Grammy Awards for Best R&B Song and Best R&B Performance.
