Pop superstar Katy Perry made a surprise appearance at an early fan screening of her upcoming concert film, "Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour – Live from Paris," at The Grove in Los Angeles on Wednesday. Following the screening, which featured audience singalongs and beach balls, Perry joined the crowd to dance to the final song, "Firework."

During a subsequent Q&A session, Perry addressed negative social media comments she received at the beginning of her tour. "There were a lot of people betting against me… You want to call me the queen of cringe? I’m gonna suck the f—king juice out of every single one of these fruits on this life. I’m gonna never have any regrets," she told the audience. Perry acknowledged that the period before July 28 was difficult, referencing her relationship with actor Orlando Bloom which began around that time last year.

Perry also took the opportunity to pay tribute to the late Dolly Parton, who died at age 80. "She was such a light. Her light ripples and will forever ripple, and I think will shine even brighter now," Perry said, expressing admiration for Parton’s philanthropy. Perry recalled spending time with Parton, describing her as "wickedly funny" and an "earth angel" whose legacy is one to admire.

"The Lifetimes Tour" movie, which offers behind-the-scenes footage and stage performances from Perry's recent world tour, had its debut earlier this year at the Tribeca Film Festival. Trafalgar Releasing is set to distribute the film to theaters and IMAX in 70 countries beginning September 2. Perry also humorously mentioned her attempts to see the film "The Odyssey" in 70mm, noting she still couldn't get a ticket.
