The pop group Katseye has postponed a second concert in Chicago, just hours after canceling a show in Detroit due to member Megan Skiendiel's undisclosed illness. The United Center in Chicago announced the postponement of Thursday's show via X, formerly Twitter, stating that doors would not open and urging fans to hold onto their tickets for a rescheduled date.

This latest postponement follows the abrupt cancellation of Katseye's concert in Detroit on Wednesday evening. Fans who had gathered at the Little Caesars Arena were informed just 30 minutes before the scheduled 8 p.m. start time that the show was off due to Skiendiel's illness. The venue's screens displayed a message apologizing for the inconvenience and promising a rescheduled performance.

This unexpected cancellation has drawn criticism from some fans, particularly those who traveled for the event. One parent told FOX 2 that she had spent over $5,000 on travel and tickets for her daughters and questioned why the cancellation wasn't communicated sooner. "If someone is sick, that should have been established well before 7:30," she stated.

Also on Thursday, the Target Center in Minneapolis announced the postponement of Katseye's Saturday show, citing Skiendiel's "illness" and promising a rescheduled date. Refunds will be available for those unable to attend the new dates.

The group, which includes members Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel, Yoonchae, Daniela Avanzini, Manon Bannerman, and Sophia Laforteza, has faced backlash for the last-minute nature of the cancellations. However, some fans have also expressed concern for Skiendiel's well-being, with social media posts wishing her a speedy recovery.

The group has not provided specific details about Skiendiel's condition.
