Katie Price has reportedly angered the director of her debut film, "Jackie The Stripper," after failing to participate in promotional activities for the movie. Director Michael Head described Price's actions as "disgusting," stating that her snub goes against the film's message of female empowerment.

The former glamour model, 48, who reportedly "begged" for a role in the racy comedy, has not attended the film's premiere, which took place in early July. Furthermore, she has failed to promote the film since its release on Amazon Prime this week, where it is available to buy and rent.

"This is about female empowerment. This is about all the things that we're making a film for. And Katie's just snubbed it which is not really what's done," Head said. His publicist noted that all other cast members have engaged in promoting the film.

Price's representatives have denied that she was contractually obligated to perform further promotion and declined to comment on her absence from the premiere. Her attendance had been confirmed by her management team, SANDS, just four days prior to the event. However, her management later informed the production that she would not be attending because she was overseas, specifically in Dubai. A source told the Daily Mail that no specific reason for her withdrawal was given other than her decision to remain abroad, adding that the late notice was disappointing, especially after her attendance had been confirmed multiple times.

Price's role in "Jackie The Stripper" sees her character, Lisa, mentoring the lead character, Jackie, played by Charlotte Kirk, as she navigates the world of strip clubs. The film is set in London's Whitechapel district in 1888 and involves the infamous Jack the Ripper. The plot synopsis describes Jackie finding herself plagued by Jack the Ripper, head of a secret organization known as "The Court." A modern-day storyline follows a group of female assassins led by Jackie who plan to take down The Court.

Other cast members in the film include Patsy Kensit, Kimberly Wyatt, TOWIE star Chloe Meadows, and Jamie Lomas. Price previously had a cameo in the 2017 disaster movie "Sharknado 5: Global Swarming."
