Katie Price has publicly declared her marriage to Lee Andrews as "f***ed up" but simultaneously stated he is her "perfect match" and "the best husband in the world." The couple reunited in Dubai this week, with Price traveling to meet Andrews shortly after his release from Al-Awir prison.
Price, 48, married Andrews, 43, earlier this year. On Tuesday, she was seen at Gatwick Airport en route to Dubai to meet her husband. Despite previous statements hinting at unanswered questions regarding his prison stint, recent social media activity suggests a reconciliation. On Thursday night, Price shared a photo on her Instagram Story of them holding hands, her engagement ring visible, captioning it: "Forever @wesleeeandrews best husband in the world completes me in every f***ed up way. [devil emoji] Met my perfect match! And nothing will defy us!"
The couple appeared to be in good spirits, dancing together in a car to the song "Mr Saxobeat," as documented in a post shared by Price. She wore a skimpy yellow halter neck top and sunglasses, while Andrews filmed the pair.
Andrews had previously alluded to a potential Instagram Live session where Price would question him, with a poster indicating "The grilling on Lee Andrews by Katie Price. Katie needs answers from her husband." However, their reunion appears to have smoothed over any immediate tensions.
Andrews recently completed a prison term where he was held due to fraud allegations, though he maintains he was apprehended at gunpoint and suspected of espionage. Recent reports also suggest he is involved in a high-stakes property dispute in Dubai.
Court documents cited by The Sun identify Andrews as the first defendant in a case brought before the Dubai Court by claimant Alexander Keya. An accounting expert has been instructed to conduct a financial examination, with a court order for this review issued on July 15 of last year, followed by a remote judicial meeting later that month. The specific allegations and outcome of these proceedings are ongoing.
Further complications have arisen regarding Andrews' financial obligations. Last week, sources indicated he faces a return to prison within 14 days if outstanding debts are not settled. These debts reportedly include £54,000 for a rental car and £15,000 owed to a United Arab Emirates legal firm. While he is not considered actively wanted by police at this stage, a two-week deadline has been set for payment.
A representative for Andrews informed The Sun that he appeared before the court and explained his inability to pay due to his wife being out of the country and his lack of access to his bank account. He requested a 14-day period to settle the debt.
Andrews claimed he managed to avoid jail by liaising with officials and stated that his wife has been his "rock" but denied asking her to pay off any of his debts, asserting he can manage them himself.
Previously, Price had warned Andrews that he had "questions to answer" regarding his finances upon his release. Despite evidence suggesting fraud was the cause of his arrest, Andrews has maintained his imprisonment was related to espionage suspicions and a civil case in Dubai, denying any fraud charges and attributing the allegations to his ex-fiancée Alana Percival.
Andrews recounted an incident where he claims he was taken to the Qatar border at gunpoint and captured by armed men. In January, shortly after his marriage to Price, reports surfaced that Andrews had taken out a £200,000 mortgage in his ex-fiancée Dina Taji's name without her knowledge, leading to legal action and a travel ban from Dubai. Andrews has denied these claims, disputing the validity of the mortgage papers.
