Katie Price has revisited her past feud with Victoria Beckham, recounting how she was left in tears after feeling she was "banned" from visiting her then-boyfriend Dane Bowers in the early 2000s. The confrontation stemmed from Bowers' collaboration with Beckham on the 2000 single "Out of Your Mind" by True Steppers and their subsequent promotional activities.
In her new Sky documentary series, "Katie Price: Nothing To Hide," produced by Louis Theroux's Mindhouse, Price, 48, detailed the strain the collaboration put on her two-year relationship with Bowers, 46. "The relationship sort of changed, as if he [had] something better," Price stated. "I was a nothing because it's now Victoria, and Victoria and Victoria."
She described how Bowers, who had previously allowed her to accompany him on work trips, suddenly restricted her access. "I was always allowed to go with him, but on this trip, I wasn't allowed and I didn't understand why I wasn't allowed," Price recalled. "I started thinking, 'What, just because you're with Victoria now, what is wrong with me going with you?'"
Price expressed her distress, saying, "I was in tears, thinking, 'What's happened, he's changed, this isn't the Dane I know?'"
The documentary also touches upon a previous point of contention between Price and Bowers: her decision to pose topless for a calendar. Bowers had reportedly issued an ultimatum that their relationship would end if she proceeded with the photoshoot. "Why would I turn down doing a calendar?" Price questioned. "That's one of the great things to do, having your own calendar. I want to be sexy in it, and you can't do a calendar and not be sexy in it."
Bowers, speaking in the series, confirmed the ultimatum: "I don't think she believed me. When those shots came out, I said, 'That's it, we're over.'"
The four-part series, set for release on July 8, explores Price's transformation into her alter-ego Jordan, her various relationships, and marriages. According to reports, Price gave producers full editorial control, allowing them to speak with "anyone and everyone."
This recollection follows recent events in Price's personal life, including a PDA-filled horse riding session with her husband, Carl Woods, in Dubai. Woods is currently in the UAE, having recently completed a jail sentence for fraud. He has not yet visited the UK to meet Price's family due to a reported flight ban. The couple's purchase of a new puppy for £2,000 in Dubai has also drawn criticism from animal charity PETA, particularly following the recent disappearance of two of Price's cats.
