Katie Price, 47, made a surprise musical appearance at pal Chloe Ferry's 30th birthday party on Saturday, drawing attention for both her stage return and the changes to her appearance.
Price took to the stage at the Royal Station Hotel in Newcastle to perform her 2017 single "I Got You," a track that recently climbed to the top of the iTunes chart and reached number three on the Big Top 40. Guests filmed and posted videos to social media as they sang along, and Ferry shared clips of Price belting out the song as a surprise for the birthday celebrations.
Arriving arm in arm with Ferry, 30, Price wore a tiny black bralette paired with low-rise, skintight cropped leggings and heels, showing a heavily tattooed midriff. Photographs and video from the event show her vaping as she performed and posing with fellow guests, including Wayne Lineker. The party featured a black-and-gold "funeral" theme, complete with an RIP-decorated cake, and attendees danced and took to tables during the celebrations.
Earlier in the evening Price posted to Snapchat that she had spent time in an accident and emergency department, sharing a photo of an A&E sign and writing that it was not what she had "on my Bingo card for Friday night." She later posted a snap that appeared to show her having her eyebrows laminated and did not provide further details about the A&E visit.
Price has been open about her history of cosmetic surgery and body-image struggles. Over the years she has said she has undergone multiple breast augmentation procedures, which she has described as numbering at least 17, as well as several rhinoplasties and facelifts. She has spoken publicly about a painful, unsatisfactory Brazilian butt lift she had abroad and has said she will not have surgery in the U.K. following a botched procedure. She has also told interviewers she sometimes struggles with body dysmorphia.
Her ambitions as a recording artist have been long-standing. In 2005 Price competed on the BBC's Eurovision: Making Your Mind Up selection programme in an attempt to represent the United Kingdom, losing out to Javine Hylton. She later pursued a music career and has periodically released singles and performed live, including headline slots at pride events earlier this year.
Price has previously addressed concerns about her slimmed-down appearance, saying she lost weight after a period of immobility following broken feet that left her in a wheelchair, and after fertility treatments. She told fans she had wanted to lose the weight because she felt uncomfortable following those health setbacks.
Friends at Ferry's party documented the night on social media, where Price thanked supporters after her single's recent chart surge, writing, "I'm number one. Thank you all so much for all your support honestly means the world to me." The event underscored both her continuing public profile in reality television and pop culture and the ongoing public interest in her personal life and cosmetic history.
