Katie Price has shared that she "finally feels at peace" with herself following a rare interview discussing her truce with ex-husband Peter Andre. The 16-year feud between the former couple officially ended in February when they released a joint statement.

"We are both focused on creating a calm and supportive environment for our children," the statement read. "We are hoping this is the start of a positive relationship."

Price, 48, and Andre, 53, married in 2005, a little over a year after meeting on the reality show "I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!". They had two children, Junior and Princess, before divorcing in 2009.

"Do you know what, I'm at peace with myself," Price told The Sun. "It doesn't mean to say I'll ever forget anything. But I've just got better things in my life. What's the point in reminiscing about the past like that? I've got no energy for it. I want to put all my energy into me and the future."

The pair also began following each other on Instagram in April, a move that came after their joint statement about moving forward positively. Price had previously stopped following Andre on the platform in 2021, reportedly after he involved lawyers concerning claims she made in her memoir "Harvey & Me" about his relationship with her stepson, Harvey.

Sources close to the couple suggested that their children were instrumental in the reconciliation. "She was resolute she wouldn't make peace with him," one source told The Sun. "It was the children who made her realise she needed to draw a line in the sand. Katie has done this for them."

In their February statement, Price and Andre indicated their intention to "close the door on the past and move forward into a new chapter with positivity and respect." They added that they had reached a mutual agreement, legally and personally, that neither would speak negatively about the other going forward, citing a shared commitment to their family and stability. They requested understanding and support from the media and public as they proceed.
