London Fashion Week drew a high-profile scene as supermodel Kate Moss, 51, and her lookalike daughter Lila Moss, 22, stepped out in matching little-black dresses for a Chiltern Firehouse party during the capital’s fashion week. Moss wore a chic high-neck mini dress with a jacket slung over the top and pumps, while Lila wore a lace slip dress with strappy heels, a leather jacket and a small handbag to mirror her mum’s look.
Hosted by photographer Mert Alas for his Seventy One Gin brand, the bash drew stars including Iris Law, Madonna and Ellie Goulding. The duo appeared in sync as they navigated the venue late into the night, with guests departing around 5 a.m. Friday. The Chiltern Firehouse building had been damaged by a fire earlier this year, and this party was the first time guests were allowed back inside in limited numbers.
Behind the fashion chatter, Lila Moss has become part of a broader health-related storyline connected to fashion. Last month she fronted Barbie’s first diabetic-doll campaign, which features a continuous glucose monitor and an insulin pump. Barbie says the line aims to reflect more children with Type 1 diabetes. Moss has spoken about living with the condition in public forums, including on Vogue's In The Bag YouTube series after wearing the monitor on the catwalk: "I have some sugar tablets, in case my blood sugar goes low. I'm diabetic, so I have this, which controls a pod on my leg, which gives me insulin." In 2020, she told The Kit that diabetes isn’t always visible to others: "I think not many people know that I have diabetes. It's not visible from the outside, so no one would really know just by looking at you."
Moss’s presence at the event underscores the convergence of fashion and inclusive health storytelling that has featured prominently during London Fashion Week. The weekend’s celebrations continued as the capital plays host to shows and private parties, drawing a roster of celebrities from music and modeling.”
