Kate Middleton made a notable style statement at the London premiere of "Digger," opting for a vibrant custom purple Jenny Packham gown paired with a historically significant royal jewel. The Princess of Wales, 44, showcased the Queen Mother’s Amethyst Sautoir Necklace, a piece rarely seen in public.
The necklace, featuring pearls, diamonds, and amethysts that frame a heart-shaped gemstone, was a wedding gift to Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, the future Queen Mother, in 1923. It was last publicly worn by Queen Camilla in 2012 at the premiere of the James Bond film "Skyfall," where she also chose a violet gown to complement the jewelry.
Middleton’s ensemble also included her Collingwood pearl drop earrings. Her hair was styled in an elegant half-up, half-down arrangement that highlighted the jewelry.
She attended the event with her husband, Prince William, who wore a black velvet tuxedo jacket and bowtie. The couple walked the red carpet and interacted with the film’s stars, including Tom Cruise, Jesse Plemons, and Emma D’Arcy. Other notable attendees included Salma Hayek, Jodie Turner-Smith, and Hannah Waddingham.
This appearance marks Middleton’s first red carpet event in several months, following her attendance at the BAFTA Awards in February where she wore a blush Gucci gown.
