Natasha Archer, a long-serving aide to Catherine, Princess of Wales, has launched her own style consultancy, drawing comparisons to the branding and marketing approach of Meghan Markle's lifestyle brand, As Ever.
Archer, who concluded 15 years of service to the Princess of Wales last summer, unveiled her eponymous company in March. The business offers "discreet, bespoke advisory services...across wardrobe, personal presentation, creative direction, and the finer details." She recently shared a photograph for the consultancy's launch, featuring herself in a sun-drenched kitchen wearing a white shirt and blue jeans, a pose and aesthetic that some observers have noted as similar to promotional material for Meghan Markle's brand.
This stylistic parallel extends to the messaging. Archer reflected on her work, stating, "One of the things I love most about my work is that it's always looking ahead." She added, "Whilst everyone is enjoying summer, I'm quietly beginning conversations with clients around the world about the months ahead; from seasonal wardrobes and international travel to key engagements and milestone occasions." This sentiment echoes Meghan Markle's own pronouncements about her brand, As Ever, which aims to "elevate the everyday into the exceptional."
The visual elements of Archer's new venture also align with Meghan's aesthetic. The logo for Archer's company, a self-stylised cypher of her initials, NA, shares a stripped-back, monochrome design with Meghan's palm tree emblem for As Ever. Both feature minimalist social media feeds with neutral color palettes and a focus on seemingly candid photography.
Reports suggest Archer's inspiration may stem from her past online activity. Social media sleuths discovered that following the public launch of her Instagram account, Archer followed Meghan's private account and the As Ever brand. She also followed Meghan's makeup artist, Daniel Martin, and close friends such as Abigail Spencer and Delfina Blaquier, alongside fan accounts dedicated to the Duchess of Sussex's fashion.
While Archer has since unfollowed some of Meghan's inner circle, she reportedly still follows actress Sarah Rafferty and fashion entrepreneur Emma Grede.
Archer's career with the Royal Family began in 2010 as a personal assistant to Prince William and Prince Harry. Upon William's marriage to Catherine, she became a key aide to the then-Duchess of Cambridge, eventually becoming one of her most trusted advisors. Her role evolved, and in June 2024, she was promoted to senior private executive assistant to the Prince and Princess of Wales. She was reportedly present at the London Clinic following Catherine's abdominal surgery earlier in the year and was part of the close circle supporting the Princess through her cancer treatment, announced in January 2025.
During her tenure, Archer was instrumental in curating Catherine's wardrobe for significant events and tours, including the 2014 Australia tour and the 2019 Pakistan tour. She is credited with introducing Catherine to Pakistani designer Maheen Khan and advising on looks for various engagements, including the Canada tour in 2016. Archer also reportedly played a role in advising Prince William on his wardrobe, aiming to modernize his style.
Archer was recognized for her service to the Royal Family in 2018 when she was invited to become a member of the Royal Victorian Order. She was married to royal photographer Chris Jackson, with whom she shares two children; the couple divorced in September of the previous year. Jackson's professional role often involved accompanying members of the Royal Family on official engagements.
