The Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, recently debuted a lighter hair color featuring honey blonde highlights while attending a church service at Crathie Kirk in Scotland. The new look was visible as she traveled to Balmoral Castle with her family.

Middleton was seen wearing a Ralph Lauren tweed blazer, a Holland Cooper blouse, and a Sylvia Fletcher for Lock & Co. hat. She was accompanied by her husband, Prince William, and their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

This is not the first time Middleton has opted for a lighter shade. In September of the previous year, she showcased long, blonde hair during an appearance at the Natural History Museum in London. At that time, royal hairstylist Neville Tucker noted that the princess appeared to have undergone a full set of highlights. Tucker described the look as a significant departure from her usual style, suggesting it was the blonder she had been seen.

An insider reportedly explained Middleton's previous blonde hair by stating it became "light in the sunshine," according to comments made to actress Su Pollard. The lighter shade, however, was not a lasting change. The current appearance marks another instance of Middleton experimenting with lighter tones in her hair.
