Kate Lawler says she had one of the best weekends of her life after a childfree break in Ibiza with her husband to celebrate a friend's 50th birthday. The Big Brother star, 45, jetted to the Balearic Island with Martin Bojtos, while their five-year-old daughter Noa stayed at home.

Video and photos shared on Instagram show Lawler and Bojtos clubbing, dining in style and taking pool days with friends on the magical island, with Lawler in glittery crop tops and bikinis as she cozied up to her husband, whom she affectionately calls The Handsome. The couple flew to Ibiza to celebrate their friend's birthday and it was described as one of the best weekends of her life, with gratitude for the chance to go away soon after the summer holidays and enjoy time away together.

She said the trip felt like a reset and that letting her hair down allowed her to momentarily forget their parenting duties on the dance floor. She added that the last time she danced with her husband in a club was six years ago and she hadn’t realized how much she missed nights out until returning home.

She spoke of feeling her cup being full and expressed excitement to see their babies and return to routine, including school runs and dog walks. She stressed the importance of date days or weekends away as a way to remember who she is and why she fell in love with her partner.

Earlier in the year, Lawler admitted that family holidays can run about £1,000 a day, when tallying spending, transport and accommodation, a figure she says they understand as part of creating lasting memories. The comment followed a broader discussion of their finances and the costs of traveling with two dogs.

Her finances have been shaped by a past tax bill: after winning Big Brother in 2002, she disclosed an £80,000 tax bill that took about two years to settle. She has since become more cautious, no longer using a credit card and relying on property wealth to fund the future, while noting she currently does not have a pension but hopes her husband’s pension will help in retirement.

Lawler’s post-IBiza reflections come as she continues to balance a public-facing media career with family life. After winning Big Brother, she built a media portfolio that included a stint as a Capital FM DJ and hosting RI:SE on Channel 4 in 2003. She has since made regular appearances on This Morning and Loose Women, and in 2022 published a memoir, Maybe Baby: On the Mother Side, which became a Sunday Times bestseller.
