Kate Hudson wore a yellow satin gown to the Warner Bros. Television Group’s Emmy Awards Nominees Celebration in Los Angeles on Saturday that echoed the iconic dress she wore in the 2003 romantic comedy How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.

The 46-year-old actress arrived on the red carpet in a form-fitting, floor-length satin gown with a soft sheen and a silhouette similar to the ensemble she wore while portraying Andie Anderson opposite Matthew McConaughey. Hudson’s hair was parted in the middle and styled in loose curls that fell past her shoulders. She completed the look with closed-toe pumps, a small silver clutch and minimal jewelry, including a pair of small silver earrings. Her makeup included mascara, light eyeshadow, a pink blush and a rosy pink lip. She paused briefly for photographs during the event and smiled for cameras.

Hudson’s appearance at the studio-sponsored celebration took place a day before the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards, scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 14. The nominees event in Los Angeles drew television talent and industry guests in advance of the ceremony.

Observers noted the visual similarity between Hudson’s gown and the dress she wore as her character Andie Anderson in the early-2000s rom-com. How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, released in 2003, remains one of the roles most closely associated with Hudson, who has continued to work in film and television since the movie’s release.

In recent weeks Hudson has been featured in media coverage for sharing images that highlighted her fitness, including posts showing swimwear and toned abs. Her appearance Saturday followed several public and promotional outings as award-season events took place across Los Angeles.

The Warner Bros. Television Group event served as one of multiple studio gatherings during Emmy weekend, offering nominees and their guests an opportunity for advance celebrations and photographs before Sunday’s televised ceremony.
