Kate Beckinsale has responded to critics of her recent yoga session, which featured her in platform boots with her dog and cat balanced on her back. The 53-year-old actress shared images of the unconventional practice on Instagram, prompting some users to call the display "ridiculous."
Beckinsale engaged with commenters, playfully defending her actions. When one user labeled the photos "ridiculous," she responded, "risk it for a biscuit that’s what I say." To another user who called her "crazy," she sarcastically agreed that "yoga is a very concerning symptom."
She also addressed those she described as "miserable and empty" naysayers who "bum [her] out." "Can you imagine being a grown adult and doing that?" she questioned. "I don’t have to hang out with them thank God."
When asked about navigating in the 10-inch platform boots, Beckinsale quipped that she doesn't typically walk in them, instead waiting for someone taller to offer a piggyback ride. She attributed her ability to balance to her background as a "ballet girl."
