Hollywood A-lister Karen Gillan recently channeled the iconic British singer Lulu, posing with a Union Jack umbrella alongside old school friends in London. The playful moment mirrored a well-known photograph of Lulu, who used a similar umbrella during a photoshoot before her 1969 Eurovision appearance.

Gillan, 38, shared a video clip of herself and a friend recreating the scene under a London bridge. The "Guardians of the Galaxy" star, originally from Inverness, posted the video with a caption humorously noting their age: "Is anyone able to get pictures with their high school friends without this happening? We are almost 40."

In the video, Gillan and her friend can be heard laughing as they attempt various poses, with Gillan directing, "Just do normal, normal. Serious and normal." The actress's friend exclaims, "I can't do this," before they both break into laughter again.

Gillan, who is based in Los Angeles, is set to star in the upcoming reboot of the 1986 film "Highlander." She will portray Heather, the mortal wife of Connor MacLeod, in the movie that centers on a clash of immortal warriors across time. Gillan first gained widespread recognition for her role as Amy Pond, the companion to Matt Smith's 11th Doctor in the time-travel series "Doctor Who."
