Kanye West celebrated his 49th birthday with a grand masked ball at the Château de Versailles, attended by his wife Bianca Censori and a group of approximately 20 friends. Among the guests was Melbourne socialite Holly Lucas, who shared images from the event on social media.
Lucas, 33, a Paris-based entrepreneur and daughter of Melbourne hospitality figure Chris Lucas, wore a black gown and an ornate lace mask to the society event. She posted a series of photos from the masquerade, including one group shot featuring West and Censori. Other attendees seen in her posts included fashion designer Alana Pallister and model Honey Juju.
West, dressed in an all-black leather ensemble, and Censori, who wore a satin corset and a feathered mask, posed for photographs within the palatial setting. The celebration reportedly continued after the ball at the Airelles Château de Versailles, Le Grand Contrôle, with an estimated expenditure of nearly $400,000 for the hotel party.
Tickets for The Grand Masked Ball itself were priced at €770 (approximately AU$1,200) for a "fantastique ticket." The event took place at the historic Château de Versailles, a venue known for its opulence and significant role in French history.
Lucas is the daughter of Chris Lucas, founder and CEO of the Lucas Collective, and stepdaughter of socialite Sarah Lucas. Her maternal family connections include her daughter Bella Lew, from a previous marriage to Steven Lew, son of retail magnate Solomon Lew. Sarah Lucas married Chris Lucas in Venice in 2023.
